Bio

A medieval historian by training (University of Bologna) and historical seismologist, for over thirty years she has conducted historical research on earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions in Italy and the Mediterranean region, applying the results to Earth Sciences (seismology, volcanology, and climatology) and the history of engineering.
