Bio

After graduating in Computer Science from the University of Bari, she won a scholarship to the CNR in Genoa for the computer science section and spent two years of research at CORINTO (National Research Consortium for Object-Oriented Technology) in Bari. Soon after, in 1996, she joined IBM, where she held roles of increasing responsibility in the creation, programming, and implementation of innovative digital projects.

In 2016, she was selected to join the Digital Transformation Team of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. To take on this role, she requested and was granted a leave of absence from IBM, working within the government structure as a Technical Project Manager from September 2017 to December 2018.

Since 2019, she has been the director of the IBM Italia Foundation and leads the country's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Social Impact Programs. The first woman in Italy to receive the IBM Master Inventor qualification, she has held 21 international patents focused on digital innovation and software technologies.

She promotes the dissemination of digital skills and school orientation towards STEM subjects, addressing the gender gap, especially among female students. In this context, she is the co-creator and leader of the NERD? (Isn't It Stuff for Women?) project, a collaboration between IBM and Sapienza University, and coordinates the national implementation of free educational programs such as P-TECH, Open P-TECH 2.0, and IBM SkillsBuild. TEDx Speaker and leading female figure in innovation in Italy.
