Mezzadri is an economist who graduated from Sapienza University with 110/100 cum laude in 2000.
After teaching experiences in Italy and Switzerland with the European School of Economics , he obtained a Master's and a PhD from SOAS in London.
In 2008, she was hired by her alma mater as a professor, and has now been promoted to associate professor. Mezzadri's research focuses on globalization, labor markets, and poverty.
His main areas of expertise are global textile and apparel supply chains, labor standards, corporate social responsibility, and fair trade.
Mezzadri's research was funded by the ESRC and the British Academy .
