Teresa Bartolomei is a professor at the Faculty of Theology at the Catholic University of Portugal, and her research focuses on issues related to public theology and the intersection of theology and literature, both in the Bible and in fiction and poetry. In the first area, she has studied in particular the relationship between Christianity and democracy; the binomial ecclesiality and citizenship ( Radix, Matrix. Community belonging and the ecclesial form of universalistic communitarianism . UCE, Lisbon 2018); the concepts of inclusion, interdependence, and sustainability within the framework of an ecoethics of the Common Home; and the question of evil in the personal and public sphere ( Where does the light live? Figures walking on the path of the Word . Vita e Pensiero, Milan 2019).

In the field of theoretical literature studies, she has focused in particular on contemporary Portuguese poetry, the work of Dante Alighieri, the literary exploration of temporality, and the figure of God in modern art.

His monograph on the biblical category of the “remnant of Israel” as a fundamental form of the ecclesial community’s Paschal self-understanding and its implications for contemporary Christianity is currently being published ( Il resto è futuro . Vita e Pensiero, Milan).
